Model KT 96

Indirect electrically heated water bath vaporizer

Classification : Zone 2

Model range : 150 – 200 – 400 kg/h

Operating temperature range : 40°C - 70°C

This range of safe and reliable LPG vaporizers makes it possible to cover any requirements in restaurants, small industrial enterprises and greenhouses where natural vaporization of LPG is not sufficient to cover the demand.

KT 96 is meant for Zone 2. A minimum distance in accordance with local regulations should be allocated between the tank installation and the vaporizer.

Kosangas LPG recommends that the safety-relief valve and drain-off valve of the oil separator (if any) be connected to a pipe to lead any gas from the system out of the hazardous area (vaporizer as well as tank installation).

Easy to install and maintain :

KT 96 enables quick installation at low cost. No external control box is needed. Maintenance is minimal and all parts including heating elements are easy to replace. Kosangas LPG recommends the use of anticorrosion/antifreeze (glycol) solution to provide the necessary protection of the water chamber against corrosion and frost.

Technical Description :

KT 92 is equipped with the following technical features:

  • Solenoid valve (On/Off) controlled by a thermostat.
  • Temperature sensor protects against liquid penetration and overloading.
  • Two (2) level switches disconnect power supply if the water level in the water chamber drops below a pre-specified minimum. Automatic start-up upon refill of water/glycol solution.
  • Safety relief valve protects the pressure vessel against unacceptable pressure increases.
  • Splash-proof top compartment.
  • Mechanical thermostats.
  • Colour : Green RAL 60-24
  • If two or more units of KT 96 – 400 kg/h are required for an installation to achieve a capacity higher than 400 kg/h, each vaporizer should be equipped with a thermovalve KTV 500 (see separate data sheet).
Test pressure : 32.5 bar (470 psi).
Relief valve :
Normal set point 25 bar (360 psi) or 17 bar (250 psi).
